Spryt Electra

Spryt Electra is Simon Prytherch’s nostalgic EDM synth-pop project, shaped by living in Berlin & the sounds of the ’80s/’90s. Combining analog synths, driving beats & quirky but catchy vocals to create original songs with a warm retro vibe.

After a 30-year hiatus from performing and songwriting, Simon Prytherch reignited his creative practice while living in Berlin from 2021-2023. Initially writing songs inspired by his daughters, the city’s vibrant electronic scene sparked a full return to production under the Spryt Electra moniker.

Relocating to Oxfordshire in late 2023, he built a studio around analogue synthesisers and drum machines, developing a daw-less hardware approach to songwriting and live performance. In 2025, Spryt Electra became a fixture in the Berkshire electronic music open mic scene, leading to regular live shows.

Drawing from ’80s synth-pop icons like Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Japan and Vince Clarke, alongside contemporary artists like Ladytron, Analog Kitchen and Surco, the project balances nostalgic warmth with driving, club-ready energy.

Live performance has become central to the Spryt Electra experience, with sets shared on all social platforms. A debut album is currently in progress, scheduled for release in late 2026.
