Spryt Electra

BERLIN-INSPIRED. 80s-OBSESSED. HARDWARE-DRIVEN

Spryt Electra is the project of Welsh artist Simon Prytherch, combining analog synths, driving beats & catchy vocals to create original songs with a warm retro vibe. Every DAWless performance is improvised — sequences live, sounds committed in the moment, no two shows the same.

Cardiff-born, Simon spent his paper round on a Korg 700S at 13. Through the 80s and 90s he played in a Coventry band with John Peel airplay, designed flyers for The Eclipse — first UK club licensed until 8am — and VJed at raves for crowds of 8,000+. Three decades in video games followed. Berlin (2021–23) reignited his creative passion and Spryt Electra was born there.

Back in Oxfordshire, he built a studio around analogue synthesisers and drum machines. In 2025 he co-founded Thames Valley EMOM (TVEMOM), supporting grassroots electronic artists in Banbury, Oxford and Reading.

Influenced by Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Japan and Vince Clarke filtered through Ladytron, TribalNeed and Stephan Bodzin for nostalgic warmth with driving, club-ready energy.

Latest single: “Thats The Way” (21 Space Records, 2026). “I Feel You” was featured on DeepDownDirty Acid Vol 7 in March. “Will You Love Me?” gets its streaming release this summer. Debut album coming late 2026.

Throughout 2026, Spryt Electra is touring England and Wales – a different town every month.
